Tired of your bumpy ride? Well, the Sacramento County Department of Transportation is targeting potholes this month in an effort to repair roads.

As part of an operation that happens twice a year, crews are sweeping the county to make repairs before the potholes create bigger problems for drivers.

A dozen teams will be out this week and are expecting to repair 8,000 potholes through mid-December. The department even borrowed extra equipment for the pothole operation.

Neighbors on Aldenridge Drive in Arden Park said they are excited that the dozens of potholes on their street will be fixed.

The list includes potholes reported by neighbors, commuters and county workers out inspecting the roads during this sweep.
